Our Mission

At the Academy, we are committed to fostering a competitive tradition of excellence. We believe that creating an environment with high standards will instill a sense of pride in our players every time they step onto the court. This commitment to excellence will lead to success both on and off the court.

The Competitive Edge

Many parents often look to larger cities like Coeur d’Alene or Spokane for AAU programs that offer greater exposure or tougher competition for their athletes. At Adams Sports Academy, we believe those same opportunities can—and should—be built right here on the Palouse.

Our facility, coaching staff, and training resources are designed to develop high-level, competitive teams composed of hardworking, disciplined athletes from our own community. Academy players benefit from access to a full basketball court for practices throughout the season, as well as open gym hours during the week to continue honing their skills.

To give our athletes a true competitive edge, we utilize advanced training tools such as customized Dr. Dish Shooting Machines for high-volume shooting reps and BlazePod reactionary cones to sharpen ball-handling, decision-making, and agility.

Ultimately, our players have a home they can call their own—a place where team pride, chemistry, and long-term success are built from the ground up, together.

Tryout Information

At Adams Sports Academy, we believe that competition begins with opportunity. Our tryouts are held at the start of each season and are open to all athletes who wish to challenge themselves, grow their skills, and represent the Academy with pride.

Each player is required to try out within their appropriate age or grade division. Please note that no roster spot is guaranteed from season to season—every athlete must re-earn their position through effort, improvement, and commitment to our program standards. This approach ensures that our teams remain competitive, motivated, and aligned with the values of discipline, teamwork, and continuous growth that define our Academy.

To participate in tryouts, all players must complete online registration prior to their scheduled session. Our coaching staff will evaluate athletes based on skill level, attitude, work ethic, and their fit within the team culture. While we strive to provide opportunities for as many athletes as possible, we will select players who best align with the Academy’s vision and developmental goals for that season.

We also encourage players and families to explore other programs or teams during the off-season to continue their development and broaden their experience. Our ultimate goal is to help every athlete grow—whether within our walls or beyond them.
